Over thirteen years ago, a young and talented Jamie Lynn joined Dragon as its first sponsored snowboarder. Since then, riders like Peter Line, Danny Kass, Gigi Rüf and Danny Davis have all carried the torch in building the Dragon brand.

This AW08, the legacy comes full circle with the reunion and limited release of Dragon’s Jamie Lynn Signature Series ROGUE goggle. Featuring simplicity at it’s finest, the ROGUE offers classic design combined with Dragon’s leading technology and legendary heritage.

But in addition there is an easy way to locate it from anywhere in the Brick Lane area just look out for the Truman chimney stack. The bottom of the stack is actually in the Park venue.

RVCA

RVCA know how hard it is to create something unique, youthful and profitable whilst maintaining integrity. Their answer came in what they do best, art inspired work-wear. Classic hard wearing pieces, with RVCA’s unique character, where inspiration comes from relationships, Musicians, Artists, Writers Athletes… all the RVCA family.

The list is too long to mention, and full of misfits, but thats what RVCA is all about. Personality and individuality. The Fall collection features a signature line from Kevin Long, some fresh ANP artists including Iranian born Arien Valizadeh and Australian Luca Ionescu, along with RVCA favourites George ‘EWOK’ Thompson, Dmote, and Ed Templeton.

You can check these misfits at both of the The Park shows!!!

'Liars Laughter' at The Park - Manchester.

Corey Smith introduces his fresh solo exhibition ‘Liars Laughter’ across the UK, in conjunction with Ambiguous Clothing, starting at the upcoming Manchester Park show.  The mobile installation will consist of very limited prints on canvas from Corey's latest original paintings which offers his take on the Manufactured American Dream.

Corey Smith is a painter and photographer, who resides in Portland, Oregon. Through his masterful use of contour, Smith?s high gloss ultra-flat paintings cleverly capture the joys of plasticity, absurd recreation, and the fall out of the pre-manufactured American Dream. Smith's candid photographs are memorials to the joys of thoughtless reasoning. They celebrate the spontaneity of humanity and youthful self-destruction.

This guy goes for broke, and he fuckin’ rocks. This is awful, deeply wrong, utterly fantastic stuff, a perfect distillation of a time, place, and generation.

Red Hot Skate Rock!!!!

It was 1976 and skateboarding was undergoing changes that would forever shape the sport and its culture. The urethane wheel had just been invented, the first outdoor skatepark was built in Florida, Alan Gelfand pulled the first ollie and it was the year Vision Streetwear was born.

Synonymous with names Mark Gonzalez, Lance Mountain, Duane Peters, Mark ?Gator? Rogowski, The Psycho Stick, The Aggressor and The Gator pro model, you know Vision has the history.

We’re Stoked. We’ve got them at the Manchester Show. Get the details in the exhibitor section and give them a call or they might be after you with the shovel and a walk to the desert, Gator Style!!!!

A CONTEMPORARY STREETWEAR TRADE SHOW WHERE THE ENVIRONMENT REFLECTS THE TRUE MUSIC, ART AND FASHION PERSONALITIES OF THE EXHIBITING BRANDS

Design + Art Direction Hype Type Studio

The Park is a contemporary streetwear trade show where the environment reflects the true music, art and fashion personalities of the exhibiting brands.

More than this The Park is set up as an appointment led order writing show and is a venue where directional streetwear retail buyers can work and network with the best in new and existing board sports related fashion brands in a relaxed working atmosphere.

We created the The Park in Feb 2003 and four years on we have 10 seasons under our belt and the shows are slowly growing to profile the best in established streetwear brands from the US, Europe and the UK while at the same time championing the new and upcoming.

The Feburary 07 shows were the best winter shows so far. The biggest development was our successful move to our new London home at the Truman Brewery which allowed a spacial upgrade of the London show to 6350sq ft. The move gave us a more controlled exhibition area and enabled us to introduce technical hardware and outerwear brands to the London line up.

The brand mix included;
Adidas, Alpinestars, Altamont, Ambiguous, Analog, Anon, Arcus, Atticus, Colonel Kilgore, Elleven, Emerica, es, Etnies, Etnies Girl, Ezekiel, Foursquare, Forum, Fox, Gentle Fawn, Gravis, Howies, Hurley, Idiom, Insight, Jedidiah, KR3W, Lowlife, Neff, Mada, Macbeth, Obey Clothing, Odyssey 20/20, Oxbow, RVCA, Special Blend, Split, Supra, The Realm, Volcom, Volcom Snow, WESC and Zimtstern.

Not shy of taking on new creative projects and pushing the trade show concept we also put together an amazing London event that showed that we are firmly backing the snowboard community. On Sunday 11th February, outside the London venue stood a 5 metre snow drop-in structure with a selection of C box, 7 metre straight rail and a 4 metre boxed down rail sections together with 26 tonnes of fresh snow ready to go. At 7pm a crowd of over 250 strong industry friends had gathered and were working their way through 150 litres of mulled wine while watching a ‘Dirty Dozen’ of the finest UK rail slaying riders tackle some of the most technical tricks in the book. Add fresh artwork from D*Face and Matt Sewell and you can understand that it was a great event. Check out the Rail Jam section in the Gallery and see the footage for your selves!!

In Manchester we pushed on with our seasonal art projects introducing ruse76 into the mix. Working solid for 3 days and dismissing repetitive strain in his fingers ruse76 had created a fantastic 10m*3m piece that still turns heads. His work can be found in the artists section of the website and if you missed it in February it will be on display at the Manchester show this Summer.

We deliver two shows in February 08.

London 10th-12th February 08
And
Manchester 17th-19th February 08

As the Park continues to grow we want to add to the original concept, exploring and pushing ideas that extend The Park’s form in order to help retailers, distributors and brands.

For February 08 we build on the 2 London and Manchester venues that have given us the biggest exhibitor space and visitor footfall. In London we will be moving to a larger hall within the Truman Brewery site which will enable us to expand the brand listing. We also believe that the raw look, natural daylight and feel of the new Boiler House site will enhance the character of the show and is more suited to our Park show set up.
In Manchester we are using the same plaza level site as for the last 2.5 years but will be making some fresh adaptations to the working spaces and aesthetics of the show. Add this to rumours of two Park parties and a big Park artist project and the stage is set!!!!

The brand contacts are listed on the exhibitor pages. Diaries tend to get full very quickly and appointments are already being pencilled in. Please make sure you contact the brands you want to see as soon as possible.

Have a great buying season and we will see you in February!
